The use of eHealth and eLearning innovations, allows access to medical information , health services and educational resources in rural areas. Even if there is no direct access to libraries, learning materials or training institutions or only by long journeys to reach. Because in the rural health sector some information and communication technologies ( ICT) are already available. Almost every vocational school of nurses and midwives already has computer labs. But these resources can not yet be fully exploited .

An eLearning & eHealth project of HITA e.V. in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, the Kintampo College of Health and Wellbeing , the Sewfi Wiawso Health Assistants Training School and the Tepa Midwifery and Health Assistants Training School wants to develop this untapped potential by enabling students and tutors to develop and exchange educational resources by themselves.
