Mobile Library

The Mobile Library program supports medical practitioners and paramedical trainees in rural areas by providing access to information resources via cell phones. The objective of this program is to establish an electronic library system (Mobile Library) that provides medical information for trainees, teaching staff and medical practitioners. The related information is provided via internet and cell phone. In this way HITA helps to establish a reliable source of medical information that is available throughout the whole country, which contributes to the compensation of shortcomings in the physical library system. Since almost all medical and paramedical personnel own cell phones, these devices are particularly useful as a platform for initial and continuing qualification and training. Even if the next library or school is far off, the Mobile Library enables access to essential learning materials – independently from time and place. Depending on the type of the device, the Mobile Library provides various learning materials.
